VMware Explore, VMware’s multi-cloud industry event, is approaching and will include technology and cloud transformation education, the latest innovations from VMware and, of course, diverse perspectives from customers and partners just like you, which we greatly appreciate.

For the first time since 2018, VMware Explore is returning to Las Vegas!

At this year’s event, two major brands—VMware Tanzu and Aria—are coming together on a single track, representing our recently-formed Modern Applications and Management Business Group (MAMBG).

The name of the track is Modern Applications and Cloud Management and, in bringing the VMware Tanzu and VMware Aria portfolios together, we are offering our customers solutions that cover the entire software delivery lifecycle:

  • DEVELOP with intrinsically secure, curated golden paths and app accelerators
  • OPERATE with the ability to deploy and manage apps at scale
  • OPTIMIZE continuously your cost, performance, and security characteristics

There is a dedicated solution keynote for this track called Accelerate Application Delivery for Continuous Innovation where Purnima Padmanabhan, senior vice president and general manager, Modern Apps and Management Business Group at VMware will join other speakers to cover the journey of an application from idea to production and beyond, including how VMware helps businesses innovate and create value faster by accelerating application delivery.

As expected, you will also meet experts, see several breakout sessions, labs, tutorials, and more on this track so, before it gets overwhelming, we have curated three targeted agendas for you.

Review our targeted agendas below and add sessions to your schedule.

Develop with VMware Tanzu

If you develop software or need to configure or customize commercial off-the-shelf software, Tanzu and Aria provide capabilities to help you build a world-class developer experience and automated golden path to production. This secure supply chain is fully modular, so you’re free to change the details to fit with your corporate standards or integrate with other products. Best of all, this works on any Kubernetes flavor, on any cloud, and can even help you to streamline the DevEx of your serverless apps or the distribution of software packages to the right clusters or clouds as defined for a given release. The results have a big impact: developers that experience fewer delays in their day-to-day work, driving a lowered time to market, and a proactive approach to managing vulnerabilities early in the cycle, rather than after deployment.

Operate with VMware Tanzu and VMware Aria

Managing and operating the cloud resources that back your application can be a struggle. Tanzu and Aria can help! We provide a centralized management service to wrangle your cloud estate, with resources discoverable and searchable in a graph to better understand resource, cost, and application relationships. Apps can be deployed across cloud regions, data centers, or clusters for better resiliency, reducing the complexity of managing the lifecycle of Kubernetes platforms and applications. You’re able to rotate certificates, repair vulnerabilities, and repave your environments to eliminate advanced persistent threats and optimize the appropriate price/performance of your systems. In sum, Tanzu and Aria’s approach to cloud operations can help reduce time to value, improve the response time of your applications, and decrease security risks.

Optimize with VMware Aria

As organizations move to public cloud, they must focus on the full lifecycle of building, delivering, and managing the apps, as well as the platforms and infrastructure on which they run, including containers and virtual machines (VMs). The goal is to attain a culture of innovation while controlling costs, maintaining uptime, and enforcing governance. Cost, performance, and security are fundamental to management and cannot be an afterthought, once applications are in production. Instead, they need to be factored in at the development stage with the right architectural choices, and available on a common platform. As part of the optimize solution, VMware delivers an anchored platform that ensures that the information about the cost performance and security of an application is always understood at all stages such as develop and operate, and provides a closed-loop real-time optimization.
