Immediate Changes to Tanzu Network Impacting Tanzu Spring Customers

June 6, 2024 Michelle Sebek

Welcome to the next stage in the VMware Tanzu Network and Broadcom's Customer Support Portal! We are committed to enhancing our customers' experience by offering a more seamless and efficient interface through a series of updates and improvements.

What's Happening?

Tanzu Network's functions and capabilities will transition to Broadcom’s Customer Support Portal, starting June 7th, 2024. This kicks off a series of changes and migrations in various areas, including binaries, open-source information, registry token generation, and API endpoints used by the Platform Automation Toolkit or the Tanzu Operations Manager CLI.

Tanzu Spring Changes

Tanzu Spring Enterprise Subscriptions will also see changes in the artifact repository. New user registrations and UI login to https://repo.spring.vmware.com will be disabled completely on June 10, 2024. Downloads for Tanzu Spring Enterprise Subscription will be available from https://packages.broadcom.com/artifactory/spring-enterprise.

For more details on how to retrieve your access token to integrate with the new location, please refer to the Artifact Repository for Administrators documentation.

The transition aims to enhance user experience and provide a robust one-stop solution center. The change is intended to make product access and information more streamlined.

Important dates?

  1. June 7, 2024 - Tanzu Network domains redirect to Broadcom's Support Portal
  2. June 10, 2024 - All Tanzu binary downloads will exclusively come from Broadcom’s Support Portal.
  3. July 15, 2024 - All customers should transition completely to using the Broadcom registry.

What next?

Post-July 15, 2024, we advise customers to aim to enhance user experience and provide. Customers will generate new tokens for Broadcom registry access via the Support Portal. Remember that API IP addresses will change after the transition - plan to update your firewall rules accordingly once these addresses are provided.

PivNet Resource will continue to be supported with minor changes, and the OM CLI will retain its functionality even after the migration.

Additionally, all on-premise Tanzu products will be distributed on Broadcom's Customer Support Portal starting June 10th, 2024.

We're confident these changes will lead to a smoother, more user-friendly experience.

Stay tuned for more updates and thank you for your continued support and patronage. To read more about this process click here.
