To stay ahead in the application development game, it’s time to up the ante. The third generation of Spring Boot has been available since November 2022 and in just a few months the predecessor (2.7) will reach the end of its open-source support period. Time to deal with the generation leap! The talk will introduce the core topics of the 3rd generation, highlight details of the JakartaEE upgrade, support for Native Images with GraalVM and support for Docker for local development. Likewise, we look at the upcoming version 3.2 and other news from the Spring ecosystem like Spring Modulith.
