Join us for a hands-on session covering unit and integration testing techniques using Spring Boot, API contracts, database schema management, and Testcontainers, followed by a Kubernetes-native build and deploy supply chain powered by kpack and ArgoCD. You’ll have your own test environment so you can follow along as we work through the deployment of a microservice-based application.

Michael Coté studies how large organizations get better at building software to run more efficiently and grow their business. He covers this topic in his books, Monolithic Transformation (O’Reilly Media, 2009) and The Business Bottleneck (O’Reilly Media, 2020). He’s been an industry analyst at RedMonk and 451 Research, done corporate strategy and M&A, and was a programmer. Jakub Pilimon

Jakub is a developer advocate at VMware, blogger, programmer, and trainer. He loves to tackle complex enterprises with domain-driven design, test-driven development, and Spring. Architecture is a main area of interest, too. When he doesn’t program, he rides motorbikes, skis, or practices kitesurfing.

Sam Brannen is a Staff Software Engineer at VMware. He has over 20 years of experience with expertise in software development, analysis, design, implementation, and testing of enterprise Java applications using the Spring Framework, JUnit, and a plethora of open source technologies. Sam is a popular speaker at international conferences on Spring, Java, and testing. He is also an active core committer for the Spring Framework and JUnit 5 as well as the author and maintainer of Spring’s testing framework. When not in front of his computer, Sam enjoys traveling and spending time with family and friends.
