Riffing on Project Riff (Ep. 56)

January 16, 2018 Jeff Kelly

The application development landscape is evolving rapidly. One of the latest and most exciting developments is Project Riff. Unveiled late in 2017 at SpringOne Platform, Project Riff is an open source function service designed to run on Kubernetes. Dan Baskette, who runs technical marketing at Pivotal, joins the show to talk about the excitement around functions-as-a-service and serverless computing, the benefits Riff offers developers working with functions, and where the project fits in the broader cloud and platform ecosystem.
