Xtreme Labs @ The MMVAs

July 4, 2011 Pivotal Labs

This year, Xtreme Labs partnered with MuchMusic to create the Much Closer app for the 2011 MMVAs.

The app, created for BlackBerry smartphones and the PlayBook tablet, integrated all conversation surrounding the MMVAs, from MuchMusic VJ’s, to die hard fans, and even included celebrities. By pulling all the tweets into one place, fans were able to open the app, and never miss a beat.

Hosted by Selena Gomez and held on Queen Street West, in the heart of downtown Toronto, the 2011 MMVAs again proved to be one of the highlights in the city’s music scene. With performances by Avril Lavigne, City and Colour, and Lady Gaga, the show brought in thousands of attendees, and thousands of tweets through the Much Closer app.
