VMware Was Named an Overall Leader in Cloud Security Posture Management by KuppingerCole Analysts AG

KuppingerCole AG published its report assessing Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) solutions in the market for 2023. Their leadership compass helps cloud users find an appropriate solution to meet CSPM needs of an organization to monitor, assess, and manage risks associated with the use of cloud services.

Fifteen vendors were assessed based on responses to a questionnaire, strategy briefing, and demo. The study involved an analysis of 12 main attributes and capabilities of Cloud Security Posture Management across the vendors.

We’re excited to share that of all the vendors evaluated, VMware was named an overall leader!

The overall leadership rating is constituted of the following components:

  • Product Leadership, which considers the presence and completeness of required CSPM capabilities
  • Innovation Leadership, which, among many attributes, considers a customer-oriented approach and delivers innovative features, services, and/or technical approaches
  • Market Leadership takes into consideration the global reach of the solution

Specifically, VMware Tanzu Guardrails (formerly VMware Aria Guardrails) was evaluated as part of this assessment and received highest scores for Product Leadership, Innovation Leadership, and Market Leadership.
