The New York Times Maps the Many Roads to the White House

But what does each candidate’s potential road to the White House actually look like? The New York Times released an interactive visualization today that attempts to chart the various routes the candidates could take to winning the Electoral College, using a wildly forking flow chart design that effectively conveys a complex array of information and probabilities. No matter your political affiliation, the infographic is worth checking out, an example of information design that is clear, compelling, and as Nathan Yau at FlowingData notes, almost game-like in its interactivity.
