Everything Tanzu at VMware Explore: Three Tracks You Should Follow

August 16, 2022 Carol Pereira

VMware Explore, VMware’s multi-cloud industry event, is approaching (register here), and it's packed with perspectives on what's coming next in IT from top VMware leaders and technical experts, but also—and most importantly—from customers and partners just like you.

We will be together for our first VMware Explore in San Francisco from August 29 to September 1, 2022, with a packed lineup of hundreds of breakout sessions, labs, tutorials, panels, keynotes, roundtables, and expo theater sessions covering how to build and operate a cloud native platform.

So, yes.... It can get overwhelming!

With that in mind, we’ve curated some Tanzu-related highlights for you.

VMware Tanzu, which empowers developers and operators to build, deliver, and manage cloud native apps on any cloud and at the edge, has three conference tracks you should check out, focused around three core capabilities:

  • VMware Tanzu Application Platform – A superior multi-cloud developer experience on any Kubernetes

  • VMware Tanzu for Kubernetes Operations – The foundation for a modern, multi-cloud container infrastructure

  • VMware Tanzu Labs – Cloud native consulting services for modernizing, building, and managing apps and platforms

And the three tracks you cannot miss are: Cloud Native App Development, Kubernetes Operations, and DevOps & DevSecOps. Click below for our curated agendas. It’s never been so easy to add stuff to your schedule.

Cloud Native App Development: All in on developer experience

If you're looking to learn more about cloud native app development, we have breakout sessions covering how to jump-start app development, boost developer velocity, and secure your apps, as well as a panel on the business value of developer experience.

See top Cloud Native sessions.

Kubernetes Operations: A modern platform that's easy to operate

If you're looking to learn more about Kubernetes platforms, we have breakout sessions covering the Kubernetes transformation journey, simplifying operations, bridging the gap between Dev and Ops, compliance, and edge computing.

See top Kubernetes Operations sessions.

DevOps & DevSecOps: Shifting security left

If you're looking to learn more about how to integrate security into your pipeline, we have breakout sessions, including from some of our customers, covering how to build a secure software supply chain end to end, adding speed and security to the software delivery value stream, Dev(Sec)Ops culture, optimizing application operation, and measuring success.

See top DevOps & DevSecOps sessions.

Last, but not least, if you want to take a deep dive and get some questions answered, look beyond our breakout sessions above and check out our meet-the-experts sessions and tutorials too.

Some of those will cover Tanzu for Kubernetes Operations, a collection of VMware’s main Kubernetes technologies that includes VMware Tanzu Kubernetes Grid and VMware Tanzu Mission Control, and each of those has their own expert sessions as well. You will also find coverage for Tanzu Application Platform, VMware Tanzu Application Service, VMware Tanzu Observability, Tanzu Data Services, and more.
