The SpringOne 2GX 2014 conference starts this evening in Dallas, TX, with nearly 1000 developers, architects, and operations experts expected to attend. Sponsored by Pivotal, SpringOne 2GX 2014 focuses on open source technologies such as Spring IO, Groovy & Grails, Cloud Foundry, Apache Hadoop®, and Tomcat.
Spring IO serves as a foundational, unified platform for the technologies that power modern enterprise applications. At the 2013 conference, Pivotal announced a roadmap for the platform with the goal of enabling the rapid development of data-driven, multi-device applications. To this end, the SpringOne 2GX 2014 conference will focus on enterprise PaaS technologies, the Spring XD big data application runtime, and microservices which provide developers with a suite of small, independent, and reusable services.
During presentations and sessions at the conference, Pivotal will demonstrate how the new Spring IO extensions, in conjunction with Pivotal CF, enable microservice architectures on a multi-cloud enterprise PaaS. Spring XD, a runtime for big data ingestion, analytics, batch jobs, and data export, will be a significant topic, as the technology simplifies the collection and use of ever-growing amounts of mobile data.
