With huge strides in innovative mobile products, there is now an expectation that health information should be readily accessed via mobile devices. However, barriers to widespread mobile health (mHealth) adoption are present and can be attributed to multiple factors including:

  • Misalignment of incentives to adopt mHealth technologies
  • Lack of awareness about how to implement mobile
  • Lack of collaboration among healthcare organizations
  • Difficulty keeping pace with innovation

In partnership with KPMG, Pivotal Labs has written a report, “A New Prescription for Mobile Health: Overcoming the Barriers to Widespread mHealth Adoption,” describing the tactics we prescribe for overcoming these barriers.
