Hopefully these examples give some ideas on how to approach the issue with sensitivity to both the needs of users and the business requirements of the software. These are definitely not the only approaches. As with all UX elements, experimentation to fit the exact needs is encouraged.

This is not an area that we often have to give thought to but it is also not complicated if we approach the user experience with empathy and consideration for the sensitive situations we may put our users in.
